Przemek Wójtowicz and Jan Gradoń explore historical weapons that don't have to end up as display cases. In this program, old rifles are given a second life—they're taken to the shooting range, discussed, tested, and put to the test. In the first episode, the main focus is the Swedish Mauser M96 / Carl Gustaf—a rifle with a history dating back to the 19th century, known for its 6.5x55 SE caliber, Swedish steel, excellent accuracy, and very user-friendly operation. We'll cover history, technology, a bayonet, sights, 100-meter shooting, gongs, and comparisons with other designs, including the Persian Mauser and the Springfield 1903. Can a weapon over 100 years old still be accurate? Does the Mauser M96 truly deserve its legend? And will history truly stand up to scrutiny? See for yourself. Presenter: Przemek Wójtowicz - former soldier, instructor, and co-founder of Poland's first sniper school. Seriously wounded during a mission in Afghanistan, he was repeatedly decorated for bravery and courage. Today, he supports wounded soldiers and veterans, conducts shooting training, and is involved in rehabilitation projects. Jan Gradoń - a shooting enthusiast, particularly with historical weapons, and a reenactor with nearly 30 years of experience. He has been involved in historical reenactment since 1996. Over the years, he has recreated figures from various eras—from Roman times to the 19th century. Since 2005, he has been involved in the Princely Team project, where he reenacts cavalry formations from various historical periods.
