The Tabernacle Explained (How a Holy God Came to Live in a Tent)

Imagine the God who flung the stars into place — the God who needs nothing, and no one. Now imagine that God wanted a home. Not a temple of marble. Not a throne bolted to the sky. Something you could fold up, carry on your shoulder, and pitch in the sand. A tent. For a few hundred years, the Maker of everything lived in a tent, in the middle of a desert camp. The people who built it called it the Mishkan — the dwelling place. We call it the Tabernacle. And in this video, you are going to walk all the way into it: through the gate, past the fire, into the golden room, up to the curtain — and then beyond it, to the one small spot on earth where God said he would meet a human being face to face. By the end, you will see that every board, every thread, every ring of gold was telling a single story: how a holy God comes to live with people who are not.
