Gordon Graham Prize for Naga Literature
Dr Easterine Kire & Dr Kethoser Kevichusa were the winners of the first Gordon Graham Prize for Naga Literature. They were felicitated by the Chief Minister of Nagaland and others at a glittering ceremony held at Hotel Vivor, Kohima. Gordon Graham was a British army captain (The Queen's Own Cameroon Highlanders) during the Battle of Kohima, a veteran of the Battle of Kohima & Burma campaigns. He started the Kohima Educational Trust with other Kohima battle veterans, to help the grandchildren of the Naga veterans, who were their allies in these hard battle zones during the second world war.
