Taking a rotary-dial phone into the future – part I

when I grew up we only had rotary dial phones for many years, I love them, love the sound they make and been wanting to take one and make it into a mobile phone for many years. So I was super excited when a friend told me he got one for me – thanks Ilanit. Taking it a part and learning how the dial work was fun. I started with an LED example and once I knew how it worked, I wrote an Arduino sketch for it. I took the entire phone a part and then I combined the dial to an old project the “Dial Tic-Tac-Toe” that has a sim 900 at its heart.    • Call to play Tic-Tac-Toe on the T.V. set -...   And for a grand test, I called the local weather forecast line. I ordered some really small sim800 boards and once they will arrive I will move the project into the original case.
