Too Many Water Crossings to Count! Crossing Mather Pass on the PCT | Day 52
Pacific Crest Trail Day 52: Dave (Trail Name: Neon) crosses Mather Pass in the Sierra Nevada, battling deep snow, postholing, and countless water crossings on his 2,650-mile journey from Mexico to Canada. This PCT 2026 adventure covers 19.7 miles through one of the most beautiful and challenging sections of the Pacific Crest Trail. Mather Pass delivered everything the Sierra is known for: snow-covered trails, rushing creeks, alpine lakes, incredible mountain views, and plenty of challenges along the way. With snowmelt flowing everywhere, there were more water crossings than Dave could count.
