It has quiet alarms, and as can be heard, one of these is very faulty. Trains often make up a lot of time on this part of the main line, meaning that it's not uncommon to have this level crossing lowered earlier than you'd expect it to with the train still passing within 2-3 minutes of the activation. The signal box next to this level crossing is out of use now, when it used to have more local control over this section of the line. Lowering 2 of 2 in this video was quite a long one.
