Date filmed: 24/02/2023 Videos filmed between 14:22 and 15:10 Route: East Coast Main Line (ECML) Between Peterborough and Grantham Stations Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barriers crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV) A level crossing on a quiet, rural road near the village of Greatford a few miles north east of Stamford, Lincolnshire. The layout here isn't anything too remarkable with just two full-road-width barriers and four LED wigwags / road traffic lights, but it is on the busy, four-track East Coast Main Line with frequent fast services passing at up to 125mph on the middle two tracks! A variety of intercity and long distance regional services feature in the six featured lowerings, of which two were LNER's legendary "Intercity 225" sets. One of these is also 91 111 "For the Fallen" bearing its remarkable livery as it flies by, dragged back towards London by the Mk.4 driving van trailer. Also note the flat-tone alarm.
