One participant, a student from Group C of SMAN 1 Pontianak, protested to the panel of judges after receiving a minus 5 for an answer related to the process of selecting members of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). The student felt he had answered similarly to Group B from SMAN 1 Sambas, who confirmed the answer and awarded it a 10. The student sought a different opinion from the audience, but his statement was rejected by the panel of judges. A member of the West Kalimantan Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) requested an evaluation of the quiz competition to prevent further miscommunication between participants and the panel of judges. The DPRD also encouraged students disappointed with the panel of judges to continue to be motivated and to remain critical and courageous in expressing their opinions.
