According to Bambang, the confession is suspected to be an attempt to "protect" Febrie Adriansyah. "I see Don Rito, as conveyed by his attorney, as defending himself against the accusations against former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah," Bambang said in an interview on the Sapa Indonesia Malam program, Saturday (July 18, 2026).
