My parents and I continue exploring the unique villages of Bulgaria. In this episode, we're in the charming mountain village of Golobrad (Golobrad in Bulgarian) and Köse Hasanlar (Köse Hasanlar in Turkish), located in the Borovitsa (Çamdere) district of the Kardzhali region. In the previous episode, we received invaluable information from our village headman about the village's history, including the second oldest mosque in the Kardzhali Sanjak. In this episode, we continue exploring the different neighborhoods of the village. The headman told us that there are historical sites in the upper parts of the village, rumored to date back to the Genoese era. As we climbed towards the mountain peak to find these traces, we were greeted by a view we will never forget. The lush green mountains, valleys, villages, and endless nature we saw from the moment we took off with the drone were truly breathtaking. We can easily say that it is one of the most impressive viewpoints in Bulgaria. Upon reaching the summit, we were greeted by storks, cows, and the unique sounds of nature. We had wonderful moments enjoying this magnificent scenery with the Wolf of the Balkans, and even shared this beauty with you by live streaming. During the live stream, a follower watching us mentioned that their parents lived in the neighboring district, so we decided to head in that direction. However, on the way, while searching for historical Genoese ruins, we met a sweet old lady looking for her lost lambs. After chatting for a while, we all started searching for the lost lambs. Luckily, we found them soon after. These warm and heartfelt moments became one of the most unforgettable parts of our trip. Later, accompanied by storks, lambs, cows, and lush nature, we headed towards Gazallar Neighborhood. There, our friend Recep welcomed us with great hospitality. He showed us around his village garden, showing us the beautiful vegetables and fruits he grew. He offered us natural produce he had picked from the trees. After a while, his wife joined us, and together we had wonderful conversations about village life, production, nature, and Balkan culture. With its natural life, productive people, historical texture, and unique landscapes, Köse Hasanlar Village left us with unforgettable memories.
