Erich Hoepner — The Wehrmacht General Hitler Humiliated Then Killed With Piano Wire
Erich Hoepner commanded Panzer divisions that tore through Poland France and the Soviet Union. He was one of the most effective armored commanders in the entire Wehrmacht. In January 1942 Hitler personally signed an order stripping him of his rank his pension his right to wear a uniform and his right to be called a soldier. He did it because Hoepner retreated without permission to save his men from encirclement. Hoepner fought the order in court. He lost. Two years later he joined the July 20 Plot to assassinate Hitler. The bomb went off. Hitler survived. Hoepner was arrested tried in a show trial and hanged on a piano wire at Plötzensee Prison in August 1944. The execution was filmed. Hitler watched the footage that same evening. This is the story of Erich Hoepner. ⚠️ EDUCATIONAL CONTENT DISCLAIMER: This video is made strictly for educational and historical documentation purposes.
