Grasped Spindle Spinning Tutorial: Becca's Yarns
In this video, I demonstrate how I spin with my spindles in the grasped style. I show spinning singles, plying, and starting a single without a leader yarn or knot on a straight spindle and a Turkish spindle. There are many ways to spin a yarn, this is just the one I use most often with my spindles. Because I am not suspending the yarn, I can easily spin this way sitting down and relaxing or while walking. Also, there is no need to use a half-hitch or other knot to secure the yarn before spinning. I find this leads to more time spinning and less time tying and untying knots. Thanks to @myrany8407 for the video suggestion! Happy spinning!
