While on vacation in Vietnam, shortly before leaving home, I decided to hold a small pull-up competition on the beach for everyone. Much to my surprise, a huge crowd showed up. I offered cash prizes for the top three pull-ups: 1st place 1,000,000 VND, 2nd place 600,000 VND, and 300,000 VND. There were so many people interested that I had to introduce a requirement that only those who could do more than 10 pull-ups could begin the attempt. In the video, you can see that there was a specific pull-up criterion and everyone was in roughly the same conditions. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance and the number of pull-ups.
