Making Homemade Pasta & Hiking Devil's Bridge in Sedona
Spend a long weekend with us in Sedona, Arizona - the second stop on our cross country road trip from San Diego to South Jersey! We stayed at Rancho Sedona RV Park and we absolutely loved it! The campground is super quiet & peaceful, with a river running on one side and beautiful red rocks on the other, can you get any better than that?! It is also an easy walk or shuttle ride into downtown Sedona, which we definitely took advantage of. In this video, I'm making lots of delicious food, including churro pancakes with homemade cinnamon whipped cream, homemade pesto, caprese sandwiches and the highlight - fresh pappardelle pasta under the red rocks! Besides the food, we spend lots of time by the river, hiking Devil's Bridge and exploring the town of Sedona, so come along for the ride! Recipes in this video... I've been in love with pasta my entire life, and lucky for me growing up in an Italian family meant lots of pasta! I fell in love with cooking & creating my own recipes after taking an Italian Cooking & Language class in Florence, Italy where I studied abroad in college. I moved to San Diego in 2012 and started making fresh pasta regularly when I met my husband, Hunter, who never had fresh pasta before! Eventually we started sharing all our pasta creations on social media, which I named after my parent’s pasta shop, Buona Pasta - founded in 1985. I quit my corporate job a few years back after I was given the opportunity to take over 100 eggs that were going to go to waste in 2020 due to a cafe that had to close. I took that as my sign to officially launch my pasta business, Buona Pasta. Originally, making & selling pasta throughout San Diego and then eventually transitioning to teaching homemade pasta making via pasta parties and corporate workshops around town! I started sharing these same beginner friendly recipes and tutorials to my socials and that's when Buona Pasta Club was born 💛 I started a series, 'Pasta in the Wild' where I make pasta in unique and beautiful places - since we love camping and being outdoors - to show you that you don't need much to make pasta, not even a roof! I also just published my very first cookbook, 'Buona Pasta: Fresh Pasta Made Easy With or Without a Machine'!
