WalkWithMe | Finding New Zealand’s Secret Red Lakes ✨ 4K Hike 🇳🇿

We have officially arrived in the land of fairytales and fantasy... New Zealand 🇳🇿 Honestly, this country genuinely is pure magic ✨. Today, we are walking the Red Tarns Track on the South Island, located right near the base of the Tasman Glacier and overlooked by the mighty, iconic Mount Cook. This is our very first day of a 3-week adventure exploring the South and North islands in a camper van, and I am already completely speechless at what we’ve experienced and seen. When we started this hike, we weren't entirely sure what a "tarn" even meant. We discovered it’s a small alpine lake or pond up in the mountains—but these ones are bright red due to a vibrant colored pondweed that covers the surface! The view at the top is absolutely insane. The track itself is beautifully maintained and easy to navigate, but man... it consists of a hell of a lot of stairs! It was a total leg burner and many water breaks were taken, but you simply cannot complain when you are surrounded by emerald green alpine trees, dark mountain rock, and glinting white peaks cutting into perfect blue skies. Reaching those vibrant red tarns at the top was such a special moment for our first day hiking in this magical place. We have so many more epic adventures lined up on this trip, so if you want to follow our 3-week campervan journey or grab some useful tips for planning your own NZ trip, make sure to hit subscribe! For now, turn up the volume, leave the noise behind, and walk with me. 👣 📍 Red Trans Track, Aroaki / Mount Cook National Park Length 2.30 miles EST time 2 hours 🔹 Watch More Journeys:    • WalkWithMe | I Finally Found the Most Beau...      • WalkWithMe| Why People Fall In Love With B...   🔹 Connect with Me: Instagram: @walkwithmemitch TikTok: @walkwithmemitch If you enjoyed escaping into the mountains with me today, please subscribe to join the next adventure! 💙 #WalkWithMe #NewZealand #MountCook #Travel #mountains #glacier #NatureASMR #4KWalk #TravelNZ #RedTarnsTrack #Nature #Lake
