DEVOCIONAL!! SALMOS 1

Devotional – Psalm 1:1–6 Theme: Happiness and Prosperity There is a happiness that the world cannot offer. Psalm 1 reveals that the truly happy man is the one who makes wise spiritual choices. He does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, does not stand in the way of sinners, and does not sit in the seat of mockers. There is a progression in sin: first one hears, then one remains, and finally one takes up residence. The righteous man breaks this cycle before it dominates his life. True prosperity is not born from circumstances, but from a relationship with God. The delight of the righteous is in the Law of the Lord, and in it he meditates day and night. As a result, his life is compared to a tree planted by streams of water: it produces fruit in its season, its leaf does not wither, and everything he does prospers. This prosperity is, above all, spiritual, reflecting stability, growth, usefulness, and God's blessing on his journey. In contrast, the wicked are like chaff blown away by the wind. They live without firmness, without roots, and without eternal hope. Therefore, they will not stand in the judgment nor have a place in the congregation of the righteous. While the path of the wicked leads to destruction, the path of the righteous is known and guarded by the Lord. What joy awaits the saved! There will be eternal communion with God and with all the righteous in His presence. It is worthwhile to say “no” to sin in order to enjoy true happiness today and perfect joy in heaven. “For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.” (Psalm 1:6)
