Full Engine Service & Front Sidelight Unit Replacement - 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 Roadster (E36)
In this video carry out a full engine service on my 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 Roaster E36 in Arctic silver, fitted with the straight 6 (6 cylinder) petrol (gasoline) M52 engine (M52B28) and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. I replace the engine oil and filter, sump plug and washer, spark plugs, air filter element, fuel filter cartridge, fuel pipes and jubilee clips. I identify an unknown and non-standard wire running from the front of the car to the speed sensor on the differential - this will be subject to further investigation to understand why this wire is routed this way and what purpose it is serving. It will be returned to original routing, even if this involves removing seats/carpet/interior to access wiring looms. Parts used: Oil - Quantum Synta (Volkswagen) 5W40 fully synthetic (BMW Longlife-98) Oil Filter - Mahle OX154/1D Sump Plug - BMW part number 11137535106 Washer - BMW part number 07119963151 Spark Plugs - NGK BKR6EK Air Filter - Bosch S3004 Fuel Filter - Bosch F5905 Fuel Hose - Halfords 8x13 (mm) Clips - BMW part number 07129952104 Front Sidelight - BMW part number 63148400410 If you enjoy my videos and would like to help support Auto Knight in creating similar content, please click here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/AutoKnight Disclaimer - Please be advised that my videos are not instructional and are merely footage of me, with many years of motor trade experience, carrying out vehicle repairs and maintenance.
