Launched in 2008 and named by Dame Helen Mirren, Ventura was built by Fincantieri and comes in at over 116,000 tons, carrying roughly 3,000 guests across its spacious decks. The ship stretches nearly 290 metres and features an impressive collection of more than 7,000 pieces of British artwork, giving it a unique character from the moment you step on board. Entertainment is at the heart of the Ventura experience. The two-deck Arena Theatre hosts West End-style productions, comedians, live music, and movie screenings. The Tamarind Club offers a vibrant atmosphere with colourful, exotic design, while Havana becomes the late-night hotspot for dancing and live bands. For relaxation, the Oasis Spa delivers a luxurious escape with thermal rooms, heated loungers, and premium treatments. Guests can enjoy four pools, including one with a retractable roof, along with a large gym, sports courts, and golf nets. Dining on Ventura offers delicious variety. The main dining rooms Bay Tree, Saffron, and Cinnamon serve classic favourites, while specialty venues like Sindhu, The Epicurean, The Beach House, and The Glass House provide flavour from around the world, from Indian cuisine to molecular gastronomy and expertly paired wines. Casual bites are always available at the Waterside buffet, the pizzeria, and the poolside grill. We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021.Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels.
