I've loved Apulian focaccia since I was little. Every time I went down to my grandparents' village, they never let me go without it. It was the perfect breakfast because (as I'm sure you know by now) I've never been a huge fan of sweets! Today we're taking a tour of five different focaccia shops in Bari (logistically speaking, it would have been impossible to bring more, so I hope you appreciate the effort). In order of appearance in the video, I tried the following bakeries: "Conticchio" on Viale Unità d'Italia 13 (a 5-minute walk from the central station); Moving into the historic center, in Bari Vecchia you'll find: "Panificio Santa Rita" on Str. dei Dottula 8 (impossible to reach by car unless you're a resident); Panificio Fiore on Strada Palazzo di Città 38 (a must-try in my opinion; that focaccia smelled amazing, the best in my opinion; try it and believe it); Third stop of the video: we move a little closer to the seafront to "El Focacciaro," located at Via Salvatore Cognetti 43. And last but not least, take the car and head to the San Giorgio area (about ten kilometers from the center of Bari) where you'll find "Panificio Montecristo" at Str. Detta della Marina 96. I also had the opportunity to try their panzerotti and polenta sgagliozze off-camera and I highly recommend them—they're delicious, especially if you order them fresh! Needless to say, this video made me incredibly happy. I already miss those focaccias; I was particularly struggling while editing the video :(.
