iRacing NXTGEN GT3 League - Season 7 | Round 5 @ Zandvoort

Round 5 of the NXTGEN Racing GT3 League Season 7 heads over to mainland Europe, the Netherlands for Circuit Zandvoort. Set along the Dutch coast, Zandvoort has become a standout venue for GT3 endurance racing, especially after its recent renovations. The addition of steeply banked corners—most notably the 18-degree Arie Luyendykbocht and the variably banked Hugenholtzbocht—introduces a unique dynamic rarely seen in European circuits. These features allow for higher cornering speeds and full-throttle exits, challenging GT3 teams with increased lateral loads, demanding car setups, and greater tire management over long stints. The mix of modern design and classic, narrow track layout makes Zandvoort a thrilling and technically demanding venue for endurance racing. Last week's round at Snetterton was cut short due to technical issues outside of our control - but following the singular race we did run last week - Benji Mccluskey still leads the championship, despite only securing 4th in last week's race. Łukasz Sidor, who won last week's race, edges a bit closer in second place. In the Silver category, it was a thrilling head-to-head between Jeffrey Kruger and Alain McKane for victory last week, but it was Kruger who came out on top, and due to the misfortune of Matthew Cheverton last week, Kruger now leads the championship, but only by 4 points. In the Bronze category, Jonathan Berry took his second sprint race win of the season from teammate, and still championship leader Adam Wilson-Weir.
