iRacing NXTGEN GT3 League - Season 9 | Round 9 @ Canadian Tire (Feature Race)

Round 9 of Season 9 in the NXTGEN Racing GT3 League brings us to the penultimate showdown of the championship at the legendary Canadian Tire Motorsport Park - better known to many as Mosport. Tonight, the championship picture could change dramatically, because any driver ending the evening with a lead of 52 points or more will secure their championship before the finale. With only two rounds remaining, the pressure is beginning to peak across all categories. In Gold, William Guthrie continues to lead the championship, despite having to fight back through the field and recover lost time during last round’s feature race at Monza. His resilience ensured he maintained control of the standings, and he now arrives at Mosport with a 26-point advantage over defending champion Benji McCluskey. With the title within touching distance, tonight could prove decisive in the Gold championship battle. In Silver, Alain McKane has established a commanding lead following a flawless double victory at Monza last round. His dominant performance now places him 35 points clear of Jeffrey Kruger, putting McKane in a strong position to potentially secure the championship before the final round. Meanwhile in Bronze, Gabriel Papaconstantinou endured a difficult feature race last week, but crucially still managed to outscore title rival Joshua Downing overall. That means he heads into tonight holding a 14-point advantage, with the Bronze battle remaining finely poised heading toward the closing stages of the season. With championships potentially on the line, margins tighter than ever, and Mosport’s high-speed layout demanding total commitment, Round 9 promises to be one of the most intense and pivotal nights of Season 9 so far.
