The Otoe and Missouria were originally two distinct tribes from the Great Lakes region. Famous for being the first Native American tribes to hold council with Lewis & Clark in 1804, they have a profound legacy. Today, they proudly preserve their shared traditions on these very grounds in Red Rock.
