She finally landed. My Lin. I had a quick encounter with her back at the November Hifi Show, just enough to leave an impression, not nearly enough to really get to know her. And now she’s here in my hands, looking just as stunning as I remember… maybe even more now that I’ve got time on my side. There’s that mix of excitement and curiosity I get with something I’ve been waiting on. I already have an idea of what she can do, but I know there’s more beneath the surface once I sit down and really listen. I’m saving proper time for her tonight maybe dinner and coffee after, a quiet room, familiar tracks, no distractions. The kind of session where I can really dig in and figure out what she’s all about, from the feel and comfort to the tuning and those little nuances you never catch in a quick demo.
