Flatirons Tuning Tech Tip - Everything you need to know about Manual Boost Controllers Manual Boost Controllers are something that has largely been replaced by simply using the OEM boost control solenoid, or by an aftermarket solenoid that the car's ECU controls with your tuner's help. And there is a good reason for that. Manual Boost Controllers can be dangerous, and if used improperly, they can damage or destroy your engine in a couple full throttle pulls. But, if you know how to use them properly, and have an advanced one like the Blitz SBD-iD, they can actually be a handy tool, and there are some benefits to them. We actually like the Blitz a lot, and even though we don't recommend this for about 99.5% of people out there, we wanted to shed a little light on what a good MBC can do.
