170721 Audubon Hog Island Osprey - Osprey Mother vs GHO

The Great Horned Owl returns to try to grab the last chick in this nest. Rachel, the osprey mother, was not going to let the GHO succeed. She has defended her chick from each GHO attack. The GHO was determined; GHO tried 5 times. In the end, the GHO does not bother and flies off. This was great to observe. Let's hope the osprey chick only has some minor aches and will successfully fledge in the next week or two.
