Ringing 2026 - Fru Rauer / Mrs Rauer - The Osprey Project in Østfold Norway

Ringing 2026 - Fru Rauer / Mrs Rauer - The Osprey Project in Østfold Norway Today at July 5th, 2026 was a very special day on Rauer Island as Fru Rauer's chicks were successfully ringed. The ringing was carried out by Sondre Krokeide, a highly experienced Norwegian bird ringer, ensuring the chicks were handled safely, professionally, and with the utmost care. Ringing provides valuable scientific data that helps researchers monitor survival, migration, and the long-term health of the osprey population. The event was presented by Rune Aae (Primus Motor!!), - Rune Aae is the man behind and running the Osprey Project and he is the presenter of Yr, who guided viewers through the ringing process and explained the tech behind it. LiveBirdsNorway (Skoglund) stood for the camera work, making it possible for all Osprey fans to experience this memorable moment live. We would also like to thank the moderators (Siw and Anja) of Rauer's YouTube channel for their dedication to keep an eye on the chat. And a very special thank you to Jørn Bøhmer Olsen, our dedicated volunteer osprey expert, for his incredible knowledge and support. He was the climber in may, and removed the fishing line, boat navigator was Skoglund (LiveBirdsNorway):    • Mr. Rauer brought a piece of plastic line ...   Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable day! A special thank you once again for all your amazing support through Spleis donations and YouTube memberships. Your support truly means everything to us. Without you, we would not be able to continue this project and make new dreams come true. https://www.spleis.no/project/494381 Because of your support, we are now one step closer to another dream: bringing you another livestream from a different nest next year. If everything goes according to plan, we hope to stream from two osprey nests next year! Thank you again for being part of this journey and for supporting our work with these incredible birds. #ospreynest #osprey #oslofjorden #rauer #wildlife
