Prawn/shrimp fritters, also known as Cucur Udang. They are a popular street food in Malaysia. These crispy and yummy fritters are made with a batter of prawns and veggies. You can serve these with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce for a tasty treat. Chilli sauce:    • Make chilli sauce in 30 minutes | Easy chi...   Sweet chilli sauce:    • Sweet chilli sauce | Homemade Sweet chilli...   Ingredients ½ cup all-purpose flour (see description) ¼ cup cornflour (cornstarch) ½ - 1 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon turmeric ½ cup water 1 carrot, cut into thin matchsticks 1 medium onion, sliced 10 garlic chives, cut into 3cm pieces 15 medium prawns, peeled, deveined and cut into pieces Method Add all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt and turmeric into a bowl. Give it a good mix. Add water few tablespoons at a time and mix to make a fairly thick batter. Add bit more flour if the batter is not thick enough. Note that veggies may release water, so the batter has to be thick. Add carrot, onion and chives. Mix until well combined Add prawns and give it a good mix. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Use a tablespoon to scoop up a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and gently drop it into the oil. Fry both sides until golden brown. Drain fritters on paper towel.
