Brice’s Creek - Old Airport Rd to Merchant’s Store 6/1/2026

In the local area of New Bern, NC, Brice’s Creek flows into the Trent River which flows into the Neuse River right at downtown New Bern. The creek starts out pretty narrow opening up wide where motorized boat traffic can navigate in the 9.4 miles we paddled. We encountered 4 gators, a snake, hawks, osprey and a nest with chicks (watch for those), vultures, and an eagle that flew right near us pretty close to the water. We were in several showers that dissipated before we took out. The trip ended in sun where we pretty much dried out while loading boats. Thanks always for watching.
