Swan on the Cadillac

Swan on the Cadillac is one of the ultimate chest and upper back openings in Pilates. With the assistance of the top-loaded spring, no other exercise opens up the front side of the body quite like Swan. Being a huge stretch of the chest and shoulders, it's important to not sink in the low back and keep the stomach pulling up. In a perfect world, this is what my Breaststroke on the Reformer would resemble. SPRING: Top-loaded push through bar REPETITIONS: 3-4 Start with the PTB perpendicular to the upright poles Option to alternate turning the head to the side and placing the ear on the mat between each repetition for a stretch of the neck Bend the elbows wide like they want to touch opposite sides of the room to stretch the chest Engage the stomach before lifting the chest and bar --- Thanks for watching!
