Exploring beautiful Shirui hills | Horamwon | Ukhrul

Hello guys…, Hope y’all are doing great. Thanks for tuning in! HORAMWON : Horamwon refers to the local name in the Tangkhul language for the Himalayan Snow Anemone (Anemone elongata), a beautiful wildflower found in the East Himalayas. It is notable for its blooming season which extends from mid-June to mid-August, with peak blooming in the latter part of July. These vibrant blooms are particularly prominent in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, especially around Shirui Peak and Shirui village. The abundance of white Horamwon flowers at Shirui Peak creates a visually stunning landscape, giving the impression of a snow-covered mountain. Horamwon and the Shirui Peak area are promoted for tourism in Manipur, recognized for their natural beauty and potential for eco-tourism, according to YouTube content. Homestays and campsites in the region provide visitors with opportunities to experience local culture and traditions. The village itself is recognized as a Heritage Village, and villagers have taken initiatives to protect the rich flora and fauna of the area, including proposals for a Shirui Lily Heritage Park.
