Williams Judd FW12 - 1988 Formula 1 season (1/24 Gunze Sangyo scale model)

Building and painting the Gunze Sangyo 1/24 scale Williams Judd FW12, from the 1988 F1 season. The FW12 was driven by Nigel Mansell and Riccardo Patrese, with stand-ins by Martin Brundle and Jean-Louis Schlesser for two races. Unfortunately the car was not successful and is perhaps best known for Jean-Louis Schlesser's infamous collision with race leader Ayrton Senna during the Italian Grand Prix, leading to the only non-McLaren race win that season. This kit is quite toy-like and was designed to hold a battery and motor, but luckily the decals held up and I think the final result looks decent enough.
