Fluid mosaic Model of Plasma membrane/ Singer and Nicolson's Model / class 11,in Hindi

In this video learn about the Fluid mosaic model of plasma membrane which was given by Singer and Nicolson in 1972.They proposed that plasma membrane is made up of phospholipid and proteins,proteins are globular and phospholipids are amphipathic in nature.Phospholipids are arranged facing their tails and proteins are present as icebergs. proteins are of two types first,integral or intrinsic proteins and second extrinsic or peripheral proteins.proteins are discontinuously present and lipid molecules are fluidic in nature that's why the name Fluid mosaic model and This model has explained all the properties of plasma membrane and accepted universally.
