XXL Food Tour through Vienna – 12 restaurants, from classic Viennese dishes to modern Michelin Guide concepts. Three days packed with coffee houses, sausage stands, schnitzel, sushi, fusion cuisine, and some of the most exciting restaurants Vienna currently has to offer. ⸻ 📍 Day 1 1. Alles Wurscht A classic Viennese sausage stand with various sausages, Leberkäse (a type of meatloaf), and classic sides like mustard and rye bread. I had: Käsekrainer (a type of sausage) with mustard & rye bread – €6.90 ⸻ 2. Das Loft Rooftop bar & restaurant in the SO/ Vienna Hotel with views over Vienna. I had: Cocktails – €16–18 ⸻ 3. Meissl & Schadn One of the city's most famous Wiener Schnitzel restaurants with an open kitchen and a focus on classic Viennese cuisine. I had: Wiener Schnitzel with classic Viennese garnish – €35.90 ⸻ 📍 Day 2 4. Bistro Fantasy A modern all-day concept from a Viennese restaurant group, focusing on brunch and casual dishes. We had: Pastrami Sandwich Small Breakfast Grapefruit Mimosas 👉 Total: €38 ⸻ 5. Café Demel One of Vienna's most famous Kaiserschmarrn spots, with live cooking and a classic Viennese coffeehouse atmosphere. I had: Small Kaiserschmarrn – €7.90 Large Kaiserschmarrn – €9.50 ⸻ 6. The Cafeteria Known for the "Karl-Heinz" ham and cheese toast and hand-stirred iced coffee. I had: Karl-Heinz Toast – €8.90 Hand-stirred iced coffee ⸻ 7. Cucina Itameshi Asian-Japanese fusion cuisine with a kitchen counter and open kitchen. We had various appetizers, pasta, grilled dishes, dessert, and drinks. 👉 Total: €180 ⸻ 📍 Day 3 8. No Panic Coffee One of the hottest specialty coffee spots in Vienna. Coffee prices: €4–6 ⸻ 9. Kojiro Sushi Vienna's oldest sushi bar, focusing on simple, very good sushi. I had: Bento Box with nigiri, maki, salmon on rice & salad – €12.90 ⸻ 10. Brioche & Brösel Figlmüller's Schnitzel Burger concept based on a classic veal Wiener Schnitzel. I had: Schnitzel Burger with veal schnitzel – €10.80 ⸻ 11. Carlo Gelato Popular Viennese ice cream shop with various sizes and rotating flavors. Ice cream sizes from: €3.40 ⸻ 12. Reznicek One of Vienna's most exciting restaurants, recommended by the Michelin Guide, focusing on modern Austrian cuisine. We had various appetizers, main courses, wine pairings, and drinks. 👉 Total: €190 ⸻ Vienna was my first time – and I quickly realized why so many consider it one of the best cities in Europe.
