Social anxiety showed up. So did I😌

Outside on purpose. 🤍 Today I attended a rooftop brunch celebrating women… and I went solo. I won’t lie—social anxiety tried to come with me. Or maybe I came with social anxiety. 😂 Either way, I showed up. There were a few stutters, a couple moments where I wanted to retreat, and at least twice I was ready to shut down. But conversations flowed, smiles were exchanged, new faces became familiar, and I got to celebrate some truly lovely women. One thing I’ve learned: the gift of gab looks different in real life than it does talking to my iPhone. 😅 On social media, there’s an edit button. A redo button. Real life happens in real time. This was my first year attending, but the event’s second annual—and it definitely won’t be my last. Growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like showing up nervous and staying anyway. More solo adventures to come. ✨
