This Plastic-Looking Finish was Hiding REAL BEAUTY

This may be controversial, but it had to go. I took this piece from plastic looking to soft and natural, with only enough paint to get the job done. I created a custom mixed Odie's Oil stain to make the finished luan look the SAME colour as when it was sanded raw, and I think I nailed it! The high gloss finish was stripped, sanded, ELIMINATED. That red dye stain was a pain in the rear as usual, but this upscale dresser makeover was a success in my books! What do you think?
