Offensive cyber operations (commonly known as OCOs) are a key element for geopolitical needs in a context as turbulent as the one we are currently experiencing. Acquiring these capabilities, and defending against them, presents a challenge in many cases, a challenge whose rules of the game are being radically altered by the emergence of artificial intelligence. Models like Mythos can represent a qualitative leap forward for both the development of cyber weapons and cybersecurity. In this talk, we will address the need for and the challenges of offensive cyber capabilities.
