Graupner Taxi 1 restoration
Here is the restoration recording of my taxi from last winter. I had already published the video of the first flight in advance. I was lucky with this model, because the previous owner had already carefully removed the old covering. So with little preparatory work I quickly got to the recovering and painting of the model. I also made rapid progress with the float construction, but the sanding work took a lot of time. To save space, I screwed the electric and combustion engine (2.48 cc) directly (without adapter) together. This means that the electric motor does not protrude into the space under the front lid. The electric motor is a Poly-Tec C30-36 (1350 rpm/v) with a 10 x 6 inch propeller. A 3S with 2200 mAh is used as the battery. The diameter of the propeller is therefore identical to the combustion engine of that time. Graupner had also recommended a 10-inch propeller for the float version. The taxi is known for its particularly good-natured flight characteristics. I can more than confirm that after the first flights. This is primarily due to the model's double-set outer wing. A sudden stall is a long way off. :-) Music by Ronald Kah, Web: https://ronaldkah.de/
