Katrineholm centralstation

The film shows the railway station Katrineholm C, Sweden. The film shows a number of trains, the station itself and some of its surroundings and other attractions in Katrineholm. The station and station building opened on 3/11 1862, when the "Västra stambanan" was inaugurated. The station building was built after a drawing by SJ's chief architect Adolf Wilhelm Edelsvärd. In 1866, the "Södra stambanan" was connected to Katrineholm (the part Norrköping-Katrineholm was then called the "Östra stambanan"). In 1915, the station was rebuilt. The station's name comes from the name of a nearby farm, Cathrineholm. The film was recorded in July 2020. 00:00 Katrineholm central station 00:06 Filmed from platform at track 5 02:20 Towards track 3-4 02:58 Filmed from platform at track 3-4 17:24 Towards track 1 17:42 Filmed from platform at track 1 19:46 The station building and the surroundings north of the station 21:42 Pedestrian and bicycle tunnel under the tracks 23:09 Surroundings south of the station 24:47 "Barnrikehus" at Friggagatan
