I Rode My Motorcycle to a Hidden Fortress in the Andes | Waqrapukara, Peru

I set out on my motorcycle to explore one of Peru's most remote and underrated archaeological sites: Waqrapukara. The journey took me deep into the Peruvian Andes, along winding mountain roads, through small villages, and into landscapes that felt untouched by time. After reaching the trailhead, I hiked into the mountains toward an ancient fortress perched high above dramatic canyons and valleys. What made this adventure even more special was the timing. I spent the night under the stars during the June 21st solstice, watching the moon travel across the sky and taking in the silence of the Andes. Far from city lights, the night sky was unforgettable. From motorcycle travel and remote camping to breathtaking views and ancient Inca history, this was one of the most memorable experiences of my journey through Peru.
