In my last video, a lot of people commented that the reason the high schoolers didn’t like grass jelly was because I made it wrong. So this time we’re doing it properly. I took a group of American high school students to real Taiwanese dessert shops here in Salt Lake City — Meet Fresh and Xing Fu Tang — to try authentic Taiwanese desserts. We ordered a bunch of classics: grass jelly, bubble tea, red beans, and mango shaved ice. This time it’s not just a taste test. I wanted to see if they would like the real versions made by Taiwanese dessert shops. But I have to say… Taiwanese desserts in America are not cheap.
