Yamandú Orsi: 56% desaprueba su gestión como presidente

According to the latest poll by the consulting firm Factum, disapproval of Yamandú Orsi's performance as President of the Republic reached 56% between May and June. According to the survey, released last Thursday on VTV news, Orsi's approval rating stood at 24%, while 20% of respondents neither approved nor disapproved. Factum indicated that Orsi's approval rating is at its lowest point since taking office. Compared to the previous two-month period, his approval rating fell five percentage points and his disapproval rating rose ten. Among voters of the Broad Front, 52% approve of his performance and 23% disapprove. Among those who voted for the parties of the Republican Coalition, his approval rating reaches only 2% and his disapproval rating climbs to 86%. Against this backdrop, and after several controversial episodes in which he was involved, Orsi is seeking to regain control of the political agenda. Since last week, a change in communication strategy has been observed, with greater care taken in the messages and how they are delivered, coupled with a couple of important initiatives from his administration: the Accountability Bill and the bill to improve competitiveness and lower the cost of living. However, a report by Radio Carve yesterday revealed that Orsi and his wife, Laura Alonsopérez, had an outstanding Primary Education Tax debt on a property they purchased together in 2024.
