Almost 9 months have passed since the suspicious death of Liubea Babutchi, 35, the owner of a clothing store in Chisinau. The woman lost her life as a result of a cosmetic procedure performed in a beauty salon in the capital, which was posing as an aesthetic clinic. The owner of the business, Irina Borodkina, left the country the same day, taking refuge in Ukraine. At the same time, it was found that both the anesthesiologist and the nurse who posed as a plastic surgeon were carrying out activities without having the necessary permits. During this time, Roman Babutchi, the husband of the deceased woman, stated several times that there were attempts to cover up the case and that some of those involved were protected from liability through various methods.
