Penanganan Demam Tiga Hari / BEF (Bovine Ephemeral Fever) pada Sapi

Bovine Ephemeral Fever (BEF), or three-day fever, is a disease caused by the Ephemerovirus of the Rhabdoviridae family. BEF is also often called three-day sickness, stiff sickness, dengue fever of cattle, bovine epizootic fever, and lazy man's disease. This disease usually attacks cattle. BEF usually occurs during the rainy season, when insects are abundant. The disease can be transmitted from sick cattle to healthy cattle by insects such as mosquitoes of the Culicoides sp., Aedes sp., and Culex sp. This disease is characterized by a three-day fever, stiffness, and paralysis.
