Spitfire Flight at Biggen Hill, UK May 2024

Dream flight in a Merlin-powered Mk IX dual-control Spitfire that was attached to the Royal Australian Air Force in WWII in the South Pacific, in the famous "Grey Nurse" unit. I was able to do this flight enroute to the 80th Anniversary Celebration of D-Day on week later on Omaha Beach in Normandy. I significantly trimmed the total flight length , but wanted to include the victory roll and some maneuvering clips. It was a joy to fly--a bit sensitive in pitch, but about like my Lancair IV at home... I was able to log time in my logbook that I will never forget...
