The process is almost the same as long division of whole numbers. The main difference is that in the first step we must move the decimal points of the numbers so that we have a whole number on the outside of the division house. Then, we perform the division as usual. We will solve many problems in order to practice this process, and we will explain how and why we are allowed to move the decimal points in the numbers of the problem.
