We will review PEMDAS, but will discuss ways in which the PEMDAS rules are misleading and can cause confusion. In the order of operations, we do everything in parenthesis first. Next, we calculate any exponents. Next, we do multiplication and division left to right. Lastly, we do addition and subtraction left to right. We will practice the order of operations with exponents, which will give you confidence to conquer physics, chemistry, algebra, and beyond.
