On Teachers' Day ( শিক্ষক দিবস ),this Bengali video wants to tell you about married life of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ( সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণণ / রাধাকৃষ্ণান : দাম্পত্য জীবন / জীবনী ), whose birthday, 5th September is celebrated as Teacher's Day in our country. The video can be treated as his family biography. He was born in Tiruttani of the then Madras Presidency in Tamil Nadu. He was married to his distant cousin in the year 1903. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ( সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণণ ) was so romantic that he could not but change the name of his wife , Sivakamu into Padma on the very first night of their married life. Soon Padmadebi became the source of his all energy and power. He led a very peaceful life with his wife Padmadebi who always skillfully managed the family of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ( সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণণ ). Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ( সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণণ ) loved her so much that he left no means to make her happy enough. They had five children, among whom one was the male child. His name was Sarvepalli Gopal. Later Sarvepalli Gopal became one of the eminent educationists in India. He wrote the biography of his father. The biography named 'Radhakrishnan , A Biography' was published from Oxford University Press in 1989. Spending long 51 years of married life happily with Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ( সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণণ ), Sivakamu-comes-Padmadebi died on 26th November in 1956. After his wife's death, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ( সর্বপল্লী রাধাকৃষ্ণণ ) lived 19 years more. He finally left his last breath on 16th April in 1975.
