Un bonheur du jour attribué à Louis Moreau : analyse

Louis Moreau was a French cabinetmaker active during the second half of the 18th century. Louis XV, Transition, Louis XVI styles, marquetry, cabinetmaking, bronze work—everything that characterizes modern French furniture is analyzed here. The problem is that, considering the cabinetmaker's life, one can never be truly certain that the pieces bearing his stamp are indeed his work, and this bonheur du jour is no exception. We'll explain why! Bibliography and webliography: Jean Bedel, *Les antiquités et la brocante*, Paris, Larousse, 1981.
