Heinkel He 111 is a German medium bomber, one of the main bombers of the Luftwaffe (there were also modifications of torpedo bombers and attack aircraft). In total, more than 7600 He 111 of various modifications were built, which makes this aircraft the second most mass-produced bomber of Germany after the Ju-88 bomber in World War II. He 111 P-4 - equipped with additional armor, three additional MG 15 machine guns and mounts for two external bomb racks. Based on this modification, the He 111 H-3 variant was developed and went into serial production - Similar to the P-4, but with Jumo 211A-3 engines. The ICM company continues to please modelers with a line of twin-engine bombers of Germany, the Ju-88 aircraft line of various modifications, Do-215, Do-217 is very well known, and here is a very interesting new product - Heinkel He 111 H-3. The model is made traditionally at a high technological level, neat, thin panel lines, engines, water radiators are given separately, the bomb bay, chassis struts, cockpit and lower shooting point are very well designed. Glass parts are carefully cast and packed in a separate bag. In my opinion, the glass gives slight distortions when held up to the light, but this is not critical, since it is dark in the cockpit and it will be quite difficult to see this. Decals allow you to design your chosen model in one of four options. Two variants of KG 53 France 1940, one variant of KG 26 Norway 1941, one KG 27 Russia 1943. ICM has no competitors in this market segment, the only model in 1/48 scale of this aircraft was produced by Revell/Monogram, an old model with external paneling.
