Thousands of Indonesian Army Non-Commissioned Officers Officially Inaugurated, Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Command: This is Just the First Step in Service Secaba (Non-Commissioned Officer Candidate School) is a regional educational institution tasked with developing and educating Indonesian Army (TNI) soldiers to become Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), with graduates achieving the rank of Second Sergeant. Education at Secaba equips students with military knowledge and skills, leadership skills, and excellent physical training to carry out the primary duties of the Indonesian Army. Before enrolling in the program, prospective students must undergo a rigorous, free-of-charge selection process. During their education, students engage in learning and training in attitude and behavior development, academic skills, and physical fitness, ultimately resulting in professional and adaptive soldiers to support the duties of the Indonesian Army. Chief of Staff of the V/Brawijaya Military Command, Brigadier General Zainul Bahar, S.H., M.Si. as the ceremony inspector led the closing ceremony for the first batch of Indonesian Army Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer (BCO) training for the second fiscal year of Fiscal Year 2025 (OV) and the first batch of Indonesian Army Non-Commissioned Officer (BCO) training for the 2026 fiscal year, at the black field of the V/Brawijaya Military Regional Command (Rindam V/Brawijaya Secaba Sukorejo Jember on Wednesday morning. On this occasion, the ceremony inspector read a written message from the Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Regional Command, Major General Rudy Saladin, M.A. In his message, the Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Regional Command congratulated all students on their successful completion of this program. "From now on, you must learn how to act as a BCO, namely being responsible in leadership and being a role model for your fellow soldiers. Adapt quickly to become adaptive and confident soldiers in facing every challenge of duty." The first batch of Indonesian Army Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer (BCO) training for the second fiscal year of Fiscal Year 2025 (OV) enrolled 386 students, and the first batch of Indonesian Army Non-Commissioned Officer (BCO) training for the 2026 fiscal year enrolled 632 students. The NCO training program currently inaugurated is a special program of the Indonesian Army (TNI) . The students are soldiers from the Tamtama (enlisted) class who will transition to NCOs. They come from various units, including battalions, regional military command (Korem), district military command (Kodim), and other units within the V/Brawijaya Military Command (Kodam V/Brawijaya). The NCOs' initial training program is for high school graduates and their equivalents, who are projected to become NCOs, trained at the Secaba (School for Non-Commissioned Officers) in Jember. "Become soldiers who always love and are loved by the people. May God Almighty always provide His guidance, direction, and protection to all of us in developing professional, responsive, integrative, modern, and adaptive Praja Raksaka soldiers," stated the ceremony inspector in his closing remarks. Following the ceremony, the Kasdam V/Brawijaya, accompanied by the Danrindam V/Brawijaya, Brigadier General Hari Rahardjanto, S.Sos., and the Commander of the NCO Candidate School, Lieutenant Colonel Inf.
